Description

A student has reached proficiency in using desktop CNC in the digital fabrication lab.

Instructions: To earn a micro-credential, take pictures or video of each criterion to show as evidence of your mastery.  When sending in your evidence be sure to organize your evidence and add captions or descriptors to explain what is happening.  Please do not send in multiple jpegs without organizing them in Slides, Docs, etc.

• Secure materials on Carvey or X-Carve

• Identify proper bit for materials being used (plastics, wood, card-stock, etc.) using Easel software

• Change bits

• Create a product with a profile cut. Show the final product.
• Create a product with a pocket cut. Show the final product.

• Pause Machine
• Restart paused job

• Remove material (including cutting tabs, if necessary)

• Clean up machine (sawdust, plastic chips)

• Show the final cut/engraved product with all design elements above
